I'm Bart van Dijk, an Amsterdam (NL) based graphic designer / creative desktop publisher and semi-professional photographer with a huge experience at various renowned advertising agencies until 2015. Freelance ever since. Expert in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, Acrobat and Illustrator. Subsequently a good Keynote and PowerPoint designer. I'm also able to play around a bit in After Effects. I have a sharp eye for detail and get satisfied by shaping a concept or brand identity with just the right subtleties. Lay-out, framing, line-, word- and letter spacing, it’s an absolute challenge to get the appropriate typeface to fit the purpose. Because despite the speed and volatility of current campaigns and presentations, it has to be graphically right. Hence, a digital craftsman. Or a stickler, as you wish. Next to my design work photography is my big passion. What once began as an out of hand running hobby, developed into an addition to my regular dtp and design work. I photograph as well in the studio indoors (packsshots) or at events outside. Digital or analogue when asked. I’m a good image editor and I’m not affraid for high res image retouch or image manipulation. This makes me a versatile person in any studio. In short, with my experience and assets of typography/typesetting and lay-out specialist in one hand and photography in the other I will fit in any design and advertising agency.
